Current Bassoon Students:

 

Erin Gallagher has come to Potsdam from Delaware to pursue a Music Business degree.

Maxime Esformes is a Music Education major from Long Beach, New York.

Alexandra (Allie) Kosek is a Music Education major from Clifton Park, New York.

Danna Clear is a Music Education major from South Glens Falls, New York.

William (Will) Halpern is a Music Education major from Long Island, New York.

Travis Miller is working on a BA in Music and Psychology, and is from Johnstown, New York.

Hannah Roberts is pursuing a double major in Music Performance and Music Business. She is from Canton, New York.

Mitchell Vanier is a Music Education major from Malone, New York. He’s a trombone major who originally wanted to play bassoon. He’s finally getting his chance and is taking lessons and playing in band.

Katelyn Egan is majoring in Music Education, Music Business, AND Music Performance! She’s from Hudson, New Hampshire.

Christine Pando is a Music Education major from Garden City, New York. She is especially interested in Wellness for Musicians, so medical school is an option!

Elizabeth Parkes is a senior majoring in Music Education.

 

Recent Graduates:

 William Beecher (class of 2013, Music Performance) is working on a Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance at Northwestern University.

 Timothy Guarino (class of 2013, Music Education and Performance) worked as an EMT while he was a student at Crane and is now saving lives as an EMT with Hudson EMS. Thank you for your service, Tim. Be safe!

 Sarah Johnson (class of 2013, Music Education) is pursuing a Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

 

Former Students:

 Tyler Avnet (Class of 2008, Music Education) graduated with his his MM in Bassoon Performance from Arizona State University and and is the Band Director at Wellsville Senior High.

 Ryan Cerullo (class of 2012, Music Education and Performance) recently graduated with his MM in Bassoon Performance from Arizona State University and is teaching music at Valley Central Middle School.

 Cortney Peters Chase (Class of 2009, Music Education with Performance Certificate) is teaching music in Buffalo, New York, and recently got married. Congratulations, Cortney and Jason!

 Elizabeth Weissman Day (Class of 2009, Music Performance) graduated with her MM in Music Education from Columbia University and is teaching music in Battery Park, New York. She’s also principal bassoonist with the Westchester Symphonic Winds and plays with the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra. She got married this November. Congratulations, Liz and Austin!

 William Duerr (Class of 2008, Music Education with Performance Certificate) is teaching music on Long Island. Congratulations on your anniversary!

 Carine Kowalik (Class of 2009, Music Performance and Music Business) is enjoying life and a career in Artist Management in Los Angeles.

 Alyssa Kyle (Class of 2007, Music Education) is teaching music on Long Island, is married, and has a lovely little girl!

 Douglas Owens (Furman, USC) went on to receive his DMA in Woodwinds from the University of Georgia and is currently Assistant Professor of Double Reeds and Saxophone at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

 Ann Shoemaker (Furman) received her MM in Bassoon Performance from Yale and her DMA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is now Assistant Professor of Bassoon at Baylor University and is principal bassoonist with the Waco Symphony.

 Deborah Vitanza (Class of 2010, Music Education with Performance Certificate) is teaching music in Middleton, New York.
